FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi was seen having a conversation with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte on Wednesday night, and the Argentine has now responded to what the Italian said about their exchange.

After Barca's 3-0 win over the Blues in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, Conte was seen whispering in the Argentine's ear as they left the field.
In a press conference later, the Italian revealed he simply complimented the 30-year-old on his match-winning performance, during which he scored twice and assisted the other goal.
Messi has since thanked the manager for what he said following the game, and added that he is delighted Barca have reached the next stage of the competition.
"I didn't hear him, but they told me what he said and I thank him for his words," he said, according to Marca.
"I am happy for how this night has ended and for reaching the quarter-finals, which is what we wanted."

Messi played a hand in all four goals in his side's 4-1 aggregate win over Chelsea in the round of 16 tie , and has now scored six goals and assisted a further two strikes in eight UCL games this season.
