The Real Madrid star released the trailer of his new film Ronaldo: The Movie, which will be in cinemas from 9 November, on Monday and a snippet shows him discussing the "world's best player" question.
Ronaldo seems to be having dinner with friends and a few glasses of alcohol can be seen on the table.
"Tell me who is the best player in world? Me," Ronaldo says while laughing, before adding: "… until January!"
In the scene, the 30-year-old doesn't seem too fussed about the ongoing debate and proves he can laugh about it.
He rightfully points out that he is the current holder of the FIFA Ballon d'Or – the trophy awarded to the best player in the world for the previous calendar year.
He has won the award three times and will likely be on the shortlist for the ceremony in January 2016.
However, his rival, Messi, will be the favourite for this year's Ballon d'Or after he guided FC Barcelona to the club's second treble in its history last season.
