Valencia coach Nuno has issued as hands-off warning to Real Madrid with regards to their interest in left-back, Jose Luis Gaya.
Gaya is said to be the subject of interest from the La Liga leaders, but his coach has insisted that he’s happy at the club.
“Gayà is a Valencia player and he’s very happy here. Let no one be in any doubt about that,” he told AS.
“He’s the same as always, he’s relaxed, he’s ready for tomorrow’s game (against Getafe) and motivated to be here at Valencia.”
Nuno went on to discuss his team’s ability to score goals before concluding with comments about Alvaro Negredo.
“The numbers are looking good,” he said. “We’ve registered 40 goals and we want our strikers to continue getting amongst the goals. They have a lot of quality, they’re doing a great job and we want them to be the protagonists.
“Placing demands on players is part of the technical team’s job. I’m happy with how he (Negredo) is doing.”
Valencia face Getafe today at 13:00 at the Mestalla.
