Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas lost his temper in his team’s draw against Valencia and swore at Los Blancos fans who jeered at him.
The Spanish goalkeeper did not have a pleasant evening with the Bernabeau faithful, after fans believed that he was at fault for the first goal from Paco Alcacer.
The Spanish striker fired a shot at Casillas’ goal from close range, and, even though Casillas managed to make the save, he wasn’t able to get enough on the ball to keep it out of the net. He was constantly booed throughout the game, with fans shouting at him every time he touched the ball, and the negative atmosphere got even worse when he conceded the second goal, with Javi Fuego doubling Valencia’s lead.
Supporters remained vocal about each of Casillas’ mistakes and eventually, the 33-year-old expressed his anger at them. He lifted his arm as a sign of irritation and was caught on camera shouting, “That’s enough, for f***’s sake!” according to Marca.
This is just the latest in a string of events over the past few seasons where Casillas has come under heavy criticism from club fans.
Casillas has made 720 appearances for Real Madrid, after joining the club as a nine-year-old, and has conceded 744 goals, keeping 264 clean sheets.
