Crystal Palace 3-1 Sunderland: Kagisho Dikgacoi remained a mainstay in the starting XI as the Eagles picked up their first win of the season. Dikgacoi put in another decent showing as his side took the lead through Daniel Gabbidon in the ninth minute, though the ball had come off the shins of the South African before it found Gabbidon. Steven Fletcher responded for the Black Cats but a Dwight Gayle penalty restored Palace's advantage. Stuart O'Keefe then completed the win with a curling strike in stoppage time.
Cardiff City 0-0 Everton: Steven Pienaar's Toffees continued their slow start to the season as they were held away to newly promoted Cardiff. Pienaar created a decent chance for the deadlock to be broken when his ball back to Ross Barkley took out three defenders but the latter couldn't find the finish. The result means that Everton have drawn all three of their opening fixtures under Roberto Martinez.
Newcastle United 1-0 Fulham: Hatem Ben Arfa got Newcastle's season underway as he struck with four minutes to go as the Magpies edged the Cottagers.
Norwich City 1-0 Southampton: Nathan Redmond proved to be the difference as his 68th minute goal was enough to down the Saints at Carrow Road.
West Ham Untied 0-1 Stoke City: The Hammers were undone late on as Jermaine Pennant secured all three points for the Potters at Upton Park.
