The Man City striker had to be substituted in the 49th minute after he scored the opener against the log leaders in the first half.
Aguero’s coach, Manuel Pellegrini, confirmed in his pre-match conference for Tuesday’s Capital One Cup tie at Leicester, that the Argentinian forward will miss the busy Christmas schedule.
Pellegrini, who recently stated that Aguero is the best player in the Premier League, reacted seemingly annoyed to the question of how long his striker will miss: “Maybe the doctor can tell you, but at this moment we don’t know how long it will be.”
However, reports indicate that the on-form striker will at least miss four weeks.
Aguero has already scored 13 goals and assisted additional eight this season, but now The Citizens have to overcome Fulham (A), Liverpool (H), Crystal Palace (H) and Swansea (A) without their main striker.
