Gordinho Signs New Chiefs Deal
Kaizer Chiefs defender, Lorenzo Gordinho, has put pen to paper on a new deal with the club, securing his immediate future at Naturena.
The club announced earlier this week that the 22-year-old had signed a new contract with the Amakhosi after a short trial with Aalborg in Denmark, however, the Siya crew was informed that – at that stage – it had not been finalised.
Now, with the defender back in South Africa, the Siya crew have had it confirmed that he has signed a new three-year deal with Chiefs that should keep him there until around 2020.
Mike Makaab, the player’s agent, told the crew, “Yes, it’s all been finalised now and Lorenzo has put pen to paper. It’s a straight three-year contract.”
Gordinho has played every minute for Chiefs in the league this season, and has been a key figure in their defence as they finished 2016 in fourth place.
The news will be welcomed by the Amakhosi faithful after their worries that he may leave the club, with the player’s commitment being shown after signing a new long-term deal.
