Eden Hazard's 86th minute strike was enough to hand Belgium a 1-0 win over Cyprus in their Euro 2016 qualifier on Sunday.
The Red Devils lined up with Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Christian Benteke in the attack, with Maroune Fellaini dropping into a deeper midfield role.
Chances were hard to come by in the opening half, but De Bruyne was thwarted by Georgallidis when he was played through on in the early stages.
Thibaut Courtois was then called upon to keep out Marios Nikolaou's low effort, as the sides went into the break with the score level at 0-0.
Belgian head coach, Marc Wilmots, decided to change his approach in the second half and replaced Benteke with Liverpool's Divock Origi.
Thomas Vermaelen nearly broke the deadlock in the 68th minute but his glancing header at the near post sailed just wide of the mark.
The only goal of the game eventually arrived in the 86th minute as De Bruyne found Dries Mertens, who in turn picked out Hazard to finish from 12-yards out.
The Red Devils managed to see out the remaining minutes of the half to secure the three points and move to within one point of leaders, Wales.
