FC Barcelona and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has named an African as the best Premier League signing of the transfer window – find out who here.
The former striker believes Ghana star Andre Ayew was the best deal that took place after the winger joined Swansea from Olympique Marseille.
"It is great to see Stoke get players like Xherdan Shaqiri, but I think the signing of the summer could be Swansea's Andre Ayew," Henry wrote in his column for The Sun.
"They got him on a free from Marseille and he is really good.
"He will score goals, is not a typical winger, will get into the box and is lethal in the air, even though he is not tall."
The 25-year-old has already starred for the Swans this season, scoring three goals and assisting one in his first four Premier League games.
Following his brilliant start to the new campaign, Ayew has been named the official Barclays Premier League Player of the Month for August.
He is the first Ghanaian to win the BPL Player of the Month award since Anthony Yeboah back in September 1995.
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini won the Manager of the Month award for August after his side won their first four matches, scoring 10 goals and conceding none.
