Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed which league is the toughest in world football after his side’s frustrating 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.
The Citizens' recent run of results have seen them drop to third in the Premier League and they are now trailing Chelsea and Liverpool.
A frustrated Guardiola addressed the media after the his side's disappointing draw and admitted that he is currently facing his most difficult job do date.
“I know you want me to say, ‘The Premier League is the hardest league in the world’," Guardiola said, as quoted by the Daily Star.
“I will tell you, you have to be so proud, the Premier League is the most difficult.
“It (the title race) will continue like this. The season is long, sometimes when you miss out on points.
“I expected it would be like this, defensive and so difficult for many, many reasons.
“I am so happy to be here to handle those situations. In the end we will improve and achieve our targets.”
City have only managed to keep two clean sheets in 11 Premier League matches so far this season.
