Manchester United have reportedly offered David De Gea and €65 million to Real Madrid in exchange for Gareth Bale’s services.
The rumours concerning United’s interest in the Welsh star are heating up and a possible return to the Premier League is looking a little more likely now, after the Daily Mirror reported that Louis van Gaal has counter-offered Real Madrid’s big money offer with a smaller cash amount in a part player-exchange deal.
Bale has been having a difficult time with the club that he started out so well for and he’s been subjected to harsh treatment from club fans in recent weeks. Therefore, the tough atmosphere could cause Bale to make a move to Old Trafford and, should Real Madrid sign Marco Reus in the summer, it would soften the loss of the talented winger for the Spanish giants.
However, as was seen when Madrid sold Mesut Özil to Arsenal in 2013 and Angel Di Maria to United last summer, Florentino Perez will be demanding an enormous sum for his prized asset, who cost him €100 million just 18 months ago.
Gareth Bale, reportedly has a release clause of €250 million.
