An African legend and former Premier League superstar has been linked with a surprise return to England.
Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, who now plays for Montreal Impact in the MLS, was rumoured to be on the move to Championship side Aston Villa on Monday, but the Ivorian has since denied the speculation.
Villans owner Tony Xia recently claimed on Twitter that the Birmingham-based club were closing in on a world-class forward, and Drogba's name was one of the many that fans speculated about.
However, a single tweet from the four-time EPL winner has shut down the rumours.
Drogba, who has scored nine times in 17 matches for Montreal this season, played 254 EPL games for Chelsea in his two spells with the London club, scoring 104 goals.
