Orlando Pirates striker, Lehlohonolo Majoro, sent a strong message to his former team, Kaizer Chiefs, that he could be the man to hurt them on Saturday, July 26, by scoring a goal in Bucs' friendly match against Polokwane City today, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Pirates played City in a game that consisted of two halves of 45 minutes. Bacela scored in the first half that ended 1-1, while Majoro netted in the second half, which also ended in a 1-1 draw.
Majoro, who left Chiefs to join Pirates in a controversial move after he was declared as a free agent by the PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber in February, is currently in the Bucs starting line-up for the Carling Black Label clash against their Soweto rivals, Chiefs.
The Ladybrand-born striker will be looking to prove a point against his former club, especially to the Amakhosi supporters who booed him when he came on as a substitute during Bucs' loss to Chiefs back in March.
Meanwhile, Bacela increased his chances of making an appearance in the game against Chiefs when he also scored for Pirates in the game against City.
According to sources, coach Vladimir Vermezovic decided not use trialists in this friendly against City because he was preparing the team for the Chiefs clash.
Pirates will take on Chiefs in the Carling Black Label Cup match at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
The game will commence at 15h30.
