Starting XI: Chiefs v Pirates

Carling Black Label Cup

Teams: Kaizer Chiefs v Orlando Pirates

Date: 26 July 2014

Venue: FNB Stadium

Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, will battle it out in the Carling Black Label Cup at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The match is scheduled to get underway at 15h30.

This game is the curtain raiser for the upcoming Premier Soccer League campaign, and has involved the fans across the country, as they decided on the starting line-up via their cellphones.

Amakhosi played out to a thrilling 4-2 victory over Chippa United last week in the build up for this Soweto derby, which also saw new signing Siphelele Mthembu get a few minutes on the pitch.

Stuat Baxter will be without the services of Bernard Parker, who is still recovering from an ankle injury, while Siphiwe Tshabalala and Matthew Rusike will also be missing through injury.

Orlando Pirates, meanwhile, drew 2-2 with Polokwane City on Wednesday in preparation for the derby, with Lehlohonolo Majoro and Lennox Bacela getting on the score-sheet.

Vladimir Vermezoic will be without the services of Lehlohonolo Masalesa and Mbongeni Gumede, both have been ruled out through injury, while Siyabonga Sangweni returns to the Buccaneers line-up alongside Rooi Mahamutsa.

However, it was a solitary strike from then Chiefs striker, Majoro, which saw the Amakhosi defeat Pirates 1-0 in last year's Black Label Cup.

Here's how they line up:

Kaizer Chiefs: Itumeleng Khune, Siboniso Gaxa, Eric Mathoho, Tefu Mashamaite, Tsepo Masilela, George Lebese, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, George Maluleka, Willard Katsande, Kingston Nkhatha, Katlego Mphela

Orlando Pirates: Senzo Meyiwa, Rooi Mahamutsa, Happy Jele, Siyabonga Sangweni, Thabo Matlaba, Tlou Segolela, Sifiso Myeni, Oupa Manyisa, Daine Klate, Kermit Erasmus, Lehlohonolo Majoro
