One half of Orlando Pirates’ lethal striking force, Kermit Erasmus, has informed the Siya crew that his focus is on doing well for the Buccaneers as they prepare for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
The Bucs forward who was cup-tied for Pirates' Champions League run in 2013, said he is solely focused at helping his club progress to the finals of the competition and win the African intercontinental tournament.
“For now my focus is my club Pirates and helping them do well in this competition,” said the striker.
“I can’t say I’m focused on Bafana, because if you do well at club level then selection to the national team is automatic.”
“Playing in the Confed Cup we will be representing the country, so it's important that we do well in the tournament. The experience you get from playing in CAF competitions helps you in becoming a better international player,” added the stocky 24-year-old.
“KE95” will hope to translate his league form which has seen him bag eight league goals to the Confed Cup.
Pirates start their African campaign against Uganda Revenue Authority on Saturday, March 14.
