Kaizer Chiefs’ head coach, Stuart Baxter, says that he is aware of Raja Casablanca’s CAF Champions League pedigree and expects a great game this weekend.
The Amakhosi host the Moroccan giants at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Satuday evening as their CCL campaign continues, though they face a tough task against the three-time African champions.
Speaking at yesterday’s press conference, Baxter admitted that their opponents are one of the best teams in the continent, and that they are coached very well by José Ramão.
Baxter said, “Raja are one of the top teams on the African continent. We expect a great match. The pitch at the Moses Mabhida Stadium is good, it will be a fascinating game of football.
“North African teams have had a long history of being dominant in the Champions League. However, as Chiefs, we prefer to play against them, as they are often well organised. We struggle against teams that operate in less organised and more spontaneous ways. Raja is a side that is coached well and it has a huge history.
“Every player wants to reach the highest possible, it will therefore be a very focused team that will enter the field on Saturday.”
