The South African Football Association (SAFA) will lay weeks of speculation as to whom Bafana Bafana will play to rest, when it finally reveals the identity of the nation on March 28.
SAFA on the verge of revealing Bafana's opponents
Media reports have surfaced, which linked the Nigerian national team to the international friendly after failing to qualify for the 2015 CAF African Cup of Nations at the hands of Shakes Mashaba's troops.
SAFA will host a media briefing to announce the name of Bafana’s opponents as well as the venue where the match will be played.
“The long wait is over. We will announce who Bafana Bafana will play at the end of this month. We will also take the opportunity to give out details about the U23’s upcoming programme,” SAFA President, Dr Danny Jordaan told SAFA media.
“As we prepare to announce Bafana Bafana’s next opponents on Friday, we are mindful of the goals the Association set itself under the objective of Vision 2022.”

“While we are on track to achieve those goals, we would like to expedite the process by pitting out national teams against high calibre opponents in a bid to be among the best on the continent and the world,” added Jordaan.
