Another Bafana Star Ruled Out
Bafana Bafana’s Keagan Dolly has been dealt a blow in the build-up to next season, with the attacker being ruled out for a few weeks with a knee injury.
The 24-year-old played a vital role for South Africa over the weekend as Bafana beat Nigeria for the first time in a competitive fixture, setting up Percy Tau for their second goal on the night.
It was reported by the Siya crew earlier today that neither Tokelo Rantie nor Erick Mathoho made the trip to Rustenburg ahead of Tuesday night’s friendly with Zambia, with the duo having sustained injuries that forced them out of the game.
Now the crew have been informed that Dolly has also joined the list of players ruled out and it appears that he will be sidelined for a few weeks after a heavy challenge injured his knee against the Super Eagles.
The Montpellier man will be eager to rest up and make sure that his recovery is as quick as possible so that he is able to get into pre-season with his French club at the earliest possible date.
Baxter is expected to name a much-changed team against Chipolopolo on Tuesday, with those who didn’t play in Uyo anticipated to be given a chance to impress the new Bafana coach.
