All 27 of the players called up by stand-in head coach, Thabo Senong, have arrived, with the coach not having to deal with any withdrawals from his side as they prepare to face Angola in CHAN qualifiers over the next two weekends.

Due to the fact that the two games take place on non-FIFA dates, Shakes Mashaba and his technical team have had to pick a squad of players that are either fringe players at their clubs, suspended, or have been given permission by their teams to miss club matches.

The ‘senior’ Bafana team is currently in Central America and will take on Honduras in a friendly in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Senong and his current technical team, which includes ex-Orlando Pirates striker, Helman Mkhalele and former Chiefs Sports Scientist, Josh Smith, have seen their team arrive over the course of the last few days, with Ekstein’s arrival completing their squad.
