The South African men’s senior national football team, Bafana Bafana, have assembled for camp in Johannesburg after a two day mini break to prepare for their last international friendly against Zambia, who are also bound for the African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea later this month.
Bafana will host Chipolopolo at the Orlando Stadium on Sunday afternoon with the match starting at 15h00.
As this will be Bafana’s final match in South Africa ahead of the AFCON, the national team will spend some time with the supporters at the following malls in Soweto, during the build up to the game; Dobsonville Mall, Jabulani and Maponya Malls.
“We want to bid farewell to the South African public who have been with us every step of the way. We want to see Orlando Stadium packed in our final match in South Africa ahead of the AFCON finals in Equatorial Guinea,” SAFA Communications Manger Dominic Chimhavi told the crew.
After the Zambia friendly on Sunday, Bafana will jet off to Gabon for another camp where they will face Cameroon and Gabon (who are yet to confirm), before heading to Equatorial Guinea for the AFCON finals which start on 17 January 2015.
