As has happened in the last few transfer windows, the future of Genk’s South African defender, Anele Ngcongca, is up in the air.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, it is thought that the 27-year-old is currently weighing up his options for the future, with interest from Belgium, Greece and Mamelodi Sundowns coming in for him.
The Siya crew recently revealed that Sundowns have opened up exploratory talks with Ngcongca with regards to a possible return to South Africa, however it has since been explained that he also has other options in Europe.
Despite the interest, Ngcongca does still have a contract with Genk that runs until 2018, meaning that his transfer fee could be a potential stumbling block for any club wishing to sign him.
The player did recently have a fall out with the Genk’s management, a fall out that led to him missing a game, however it is thought that that has since been rectified.
