With Kylian Mbappe named in the FIFA Team of the Year for the fourth consecutive year, we check out the Frenchman's evolution as one of the game's elite attackers.
What's the story?
Last week, the FIFA22 Team Of The Year was announced, with some of football's biggest ballers missing out in the star studded line-up. Mo Salah, who is in the form of his career, along with Cristiano Ronaldo were two of the biggest names left out of the team.
Ronaldo's so called on field rival Lionel Messi was voted in after not making the TOTY in FIFA21, with the likes of Jorghino, N'Golo Kante, Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias, Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi and Gianluigi Donnarumma being new comers as well.
Four Years Running
For Mbappe however, it has been a different story. The Paris Saint-Germain star has been voted in the team for the past four editions and had different ratings throughout this time.
In FIFA19, the former Monaco star came with a 97 rating, while he had a 98 rating in FIFA20. For both the FIFA21 and FIFA22 TOTY, the speedy striker came in at 97.

Where To Next For Mbappe?
It remains to be seen where the immediate future lies for the Frenchman, with it being reported that he could well be on his way out of Paris. With it expected that he would not be short of suitors, speculation is rife that he could become the next Galactico signing at Real Madrid.
