Two PSL Clubs Join the Race for Otladisa

According to reliable sources close to various Premier Soccer League (PSL) teams, it is believed that two clubs have joined the race for Orlando Pirates winger Katlego Otladisa.

These Siya sources have indicated that Sekhukhune United and Polokwane City have both inquired about the former Marumo Gallants player, with the possibility of a loan move in January.

As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Gallants are also still interested in getting their former player back, at least on loan.

"For now I can tell you that both Sekhukhune United and Polokwane City have inquired about Katlego (Otladisa). It's actually a loan request and they would want to have him in January. First it was Marumo Gallants and now it's these two other clubs. I can't say whether there are talks already or not but the interest and inquiries from the clubs are there," the Siya source stated.

A second source stated that even the player himself wants to go where he can play regularly, and it could happen in January.

"Marumo Gallants wanted him on loan in August but due to some logistics nothing could come out of that. But now, even the player himself wants to play. He can see that it will be difficult for him to play at Pirates this season if you look at the players in his position," said the second insider.

"There are players like Gilberto, Monnapule Saleng, Mohau Nkota and even Relebohile Mofokeng. So that's why he feels moving away either on loan or permanently would help him play regularly again like he used to do at Gallants before his move to Pirates last season," the second insider added.

Last season, after joining Pirates from Gallants, the 28-year-old played a decent amount of matches for the Buccaneers, but this season he hasn't featured yet.

Soccer Laduma contacted both Sekhukhune United and Polokwane City for comment, but unfortunately, there was no response at the time of publishing this report.

Meanwhile, his agent Nimrod Mbhalati of Nida Sports could neither deny nor confirm these reports.

As the January transfer window approaches, the interest in Otladisa from multiple PSL clubs highlights his potential value. With the potential for limited playing time at Pirates, a loan move could provide the winger with the opportunity to regain his form and play regularly.
