The Siya crew has been led to believe that players of a GladAfrica Championship outfit have not received a salary since the end of November.
Insiders at Platinum City Rovers, who were promoted to the GladAfrica Championship from the ABC Motsepe League before the start of this season, have informed the Siya crew that players are disgruntled because they did not get paid in December, and they are still waiting for payment for January.
Information coming through to the Siya crew is that some of the players have not been going to training because they are not happy about the situation.
"We are suffering. We got nothing in December. They promised to pay us on the 24th (of December). Our team manager has been promising, but obviously he is not the one paying us. It's really tough," a source told the Siya crew.
"Players are not coming to training. Some borrow. We thought things would change when we got promoted to the GladAfrica Championship, but it's gone from bad to worse. There are rumours that the team will be releasing some players to cut costs. But if they release players, then what are they going to do with the salaries that are owed?"
Asked for a comment, team manager Sfiso Kabini said: "I can't comment too much. All I can say is that everyone will be sorted out month end."
Kabini was unable to say if the players will be paid for December as well.
"I don't know, because the chairman is the one paying. But all I can say is everyone will be paid all their money."
Rovers started the season well and were top of the standings at one stage, but they currently sit in ninth spot.
