South African-Born Attacker, Ryan De Vries, Has Signed For A Japanese Club

South African-born attacker, Ryan De Vries, has penned a deal with Japanese side, FC Gifu, leaving Auckland City in New Zealand for the next step in his career.    Read: Zulu Completes Sundowns Move   The 26-year-old has been a consistent performer for Auckland since his arrival in 2013, and this season has scored 10 goals in six games as his side go in search of another league title.    However, if they do achieve their goal then he will not be there to witness it, with the Capetonian having passed a medical and joined the Japanese J2 side.   Click here to check out the PSL fixtures   He said in a statement, "I want to thank everyone connected with Auckland City FC from the board to the supporters but especially my teammates and coaching staff for everything they've given me these past few years.   "It's been a pleasure to play for this club. We experienced a lot of ups and downs on the pitch but I have mostly unbelievably good memories to take away with me.   "Auckland City FC achieved milestones not many teams in New Zealand may ever experience. I'm going to miss everyone at the club. I want to wish the club good luck for the rest of this season and in the future."   He is set to be officially unveiled tomorrow.
