After announcing his departure from Belgian champions Club Brugge, Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau's next destination has now been revealed, according to reports abroad.
Just last week he bid farewell to Brugge, where he enjoyed a topsy-turvy loan spell from English side Brighton Hove Albion. Initially starting off with a bang, Tau's form in Brugge dropped towards the end of the campaign.
Now, according to Dutch website HLN, Tau's Belgian journey is set to continue, this time with Anderlecht, where he will team up with former Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany.
Negotiations for a loan move are said to be in the final stages and should it be successful, the 26-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker will join Anderlecht on a season-long loan without the option to purchase, according to reports.
Tau, who is still in South Africa, is said to be undergoing evaluations to ensure his fitness and physical state before joining Anderlecht, where he will compete with the likes of Kemar Roofe, Randy Dimata and Antoine Colassin.
The enterprising forward still has two years left on his contract with Brigton, a club he may never play for due to illegibility laws in the UK.
