A Soweto giant has continued their investment in youth development, with another promising talent set to commit his long-term future to the club in a deal that represents significant faith in potential.
The midfielder, who has gradually worked his way from development structures into first-team contention, is reportedly on the verge of signing terms that would keep him at Orlando Pirates for the next half-decade.

Insiders close to Pirates have indicated that the club has offered another youngster, Simphiwe Selepe a long-term contract with the club as part of building the team for the future.
The sourcess added that the Buccaneers have offered the 20-year-old midfielder a five-year deal which would see him remain at the club until June 2030.
"The deal for Simphiwe (Selepe) is as good as done. It's a five-year deal because they want him to be at the club as part of the future of the team. It's obviously what the team is looking at for growing the club and if you look at the number of youngsters in the squad and their contributions it's really working well for the team," the insider told Soccer Laduma.
A second source stated that Selepe is not the only one to be offered a long-term contract from the DDC team for next season.
"Even though coach Jose Riveiro is leaving there are a few players from the DDC side who he had already recommended to the senior team and about two or three of them will be given long-term contracts from next season and they will join the team on the pre-season camp in Europe in July, " the second source told the Siya crew.
Selepe has been a regular in the DDC team this season and he was part of the Jose Riveiro coached Carling Black Label All Stars team which beat Magesi FC 3-0 in December last year. And after coming in as a substitute in the Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs, the youngster was given the chance to start in their 3-0 win over Golden Arrows on Tuesday night at Orlando Stadium in what was Riveiro's last game in charge of Pirates.

Soccer Laduma contacted Pirates for comment but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
This commitment to youth development signals Pirates' long-term vision even amid a coaching transition. Selepe's potential five-year deal demonstrates the club's confidence in his abilities and potential to become a cornerstone of their midfield for years to come. As the Buccaneers prepare for a new coaching era, their investment in young talent provides continuity and builds a foundation for sustained success.
With the upcoming European pre-season offering valuable exposure for these emerging talents, Pirates fans can look forward to witnessing the continued evolution of a youth revolution that balances immediate competitiveness with future ambitions. Selepe's progression from DDC prospect to first-team contributor serves as both validation of the club's development pathway and inspiration for other young talents in the Pirates system.
