With the 2021/22 season PSL having passed the halfway mark, Soccer Laduma takes a look at all of the performances of the Orlando Pirates players who are currently out on loan.
Sandile Mthethwa – Chippa United
Having left the Buccaneers on loan in September despite making two appearances for the team, Mthethwa has been a revelation for Chippa United, making 10 appearances for the Chilli Boys so far this season.
Thabiso Sesane – Jomo Cosmos
The young versatile defender has been a regular at Jomo Cosmos, having made nine appearances across all competitions. He has widely been touted as a future prospect for the Buccaneers and was sent out on loan to gain more experience at Ezenkosi.
Azola Tshobeni – JDR Stars
The young midfielder who came through the ranks at the Buccaneers was sent out on loan to JDR Stars in the GladAfrica Championship and has made six appearances in all competitions for the Hammers this season.
Monnapule Saleng Austin Muwowo – Swallows FC
The duo have experienced contrasting fortunes at the Birds this season. while Saleng has been a standout performer for the club with 10 appearances having joined at the start of the season, Muwowo has largely struggled at the Birds but has experienced an upturn in fortunes under coach Dylan Kerr and has made six appearances this season.
Justice Chabalala – Sekhukhune United
The centre-back has found game time hard to come by with Babina Noko with just three appearances for coach Macdonald Makhubedu's side in all competitions.
