The winger, who spent the previous campaign on loan at Sekhukhune United, was widely tipped for an exit from the Buccaneers, but he now looks set to remain under the stewardship of new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
His inclusion on the club’s official website suggests that he will at least start the 2025/26 season with the Soweto giants.
Otladisa, affectionately known as ‘Dox’, faces an uphill battle to cement his place in an already crowded attacking department.
The likes of Relebohile Mofokeng, Oswin Appollis, and Tshepang Moremi all offer similar attributes and are expected to play prominent roles in Pirates’ campaign, making competition for minutes fierce.
Whether he can translate his past promise into consistent top flight performances remains to be seen, but for now, Otladisa has earned a lifeline.
As pre-season preparations intensify, all eyes will be on how he fits into Ouaddou’s plans, and whether he can carve out a role for himself in a side with no shortage of attacking flair.
