Tiyani Mabunda picked up the Man of the Match award, but he had some special praise for one of his Mamelodi Sundowns teammates on Sunday.
Second-half goals from Wayne Arendse and Phakamani Mahlambi guided Sundowns to a 2-0 victory over Vaal University of Technology on Sunday afternoon.
There were a number of fringe players given a start but Sammy Seabi received special praise from Mabunda.
"It's unbelievable the way they responded, a player like Sammy Seabi, I believe he had an exceptional game, he hasn't played for a very long time, he suffered an injury and he came back. This is his first game back.
"And for him to play in that manner, 90 minutes at the highest level, at the highest pace, it is really something I really appreciate.
"He shows that he's ready to come in, any player in the Sundowns team can go all the way, when called upon, you need to make sure," he added.
Sundowns now turn their attention to next weekend's CAF Champions League quarter-final against Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
