The Round of 32 games in the Nedbank Cup continue as the week progresses in the next few days, and there could be a long-awaited return for one star player…
Maritzburg United's Siyanda Xulu hasn't featured for the Team of Choice since picking up a serious injury back in November, but having made the bench for their last two games, this weekend's tie with Stellenbosch could see him back in action.
Eric Tinkler's side has been in impressive form in 2019/20 considering they were almost relegated last season, and now he wants to have a real go at the Nedbank Cup after narrowly missing out on the Telkom Knockout last year.
They do, however, have a couple of suspensions to deal with that could see Xulu make his first appearance since November, while Judas Moseamedi is a doubt due to an injury niggle.
Speaking to the club's official website, the club's head coach said, "Pogiso Sanoka and Gabriel Nyoni both miss out on the game due to suspension. Judas Moseamedi is being assessed. Everyone else is available."
Maritzburg face Stellenbosch at 20h00 on Friday night.
