It could be viewed as a blessing in disguise by some that one of the Absa Premiership clubs will be without six stars for their cup match this weekend, with the team having a derby coming up in the next round of league fixtures.

For Saturday's Nedbank Cup Last 32 match against Vaal University of Technology– an amateur side campaigning in Gauteng's ABC Motsepe League, Golden Arrows will be without Knox Mutizwa, Lerato Lamola, Matome Mathiane, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Ntsako Makhubela and Siyabonga Dube, all due to suspension after they picked up yellow cards in their league match against SuperSport United last weekend.

After the cup match, Abafana Bes'thende will have a KwaZulu-Natal derby against AmaZulu on February 15 at the King Zwelithini Stadium – an important clash in their quest to solidify their place in the top eight of the log.
While Arrows coach Steve Komphela and his technical team will relieved to have their six players back for the important clash against their KZN rivals, the former Kaizer Chiefs mentor will be hopeful of his side progressing to the next round of the cup competition, without being affected by the absence of key players.
