Gavin Hunt Hails Ex-Kaizer Chiefs Star In Bucs Win

Bidvest Wits head coach Gavin Hunt showered praise on former Kaizer Chiefs star Lorenzo Gordinho, who slotted home the winning penalty against Orlando Pirates.

Wits , who had Elias Pelembe sent off, were seemingly headed out of the Nedbank Cup before Gift Motupa popped up with a late equaliser to send the clash to penalties, where they went on to win 3-2.

After missing out on a debut on Thursday evening due to postponement, Gordinho was named in the starting line-up as Wits were taken all the way to penalties.

"First five minutes he got caught with the ball over the top, I thought he was magnificent today, really good," Hunt told SuperSport after the game.

Having not played for such a long time, he's that type of player, he's good a big heart and that's what we have to rely on, that's what we base, we haven't got they've got Pirates, we don't have that.

"So we have to play another way, that's the beauty of football, you can play different ways and still win games of football, that's what we got. So we'll try win our way, we get criticised up to no end but we'll do it our way and we'll see where we end up."
