Highlands Park's star striker Peter Shalulile felt the Lions of the North did well to attack Kaizer Chiefs' weaknesses in their Nedbank Cup showdown.
Highlands sealed a spot in Tuesday's quarter-final draw after defeating the Soweto giants on penalties on Saturday afternoon.
Shalulile, got Highlands' goal via a set-piece, feels they did well to nullify Chiefs' strengths on the day in Tembisa.
"It was not an easy game against Chiefs, it's never easy and the weather but we managed to win the game," Shalulile told SuperSport after the mabe.
"It was one of those games, they always want to get a goal through the set-pieces but unfortunately our defender headed the ball in the back of the net."
When asked about dealing with Chiefs' set-pieces, he added," We did not have time to work on that because we had to prepare after two days but we managed, finally we gave them some tough time. Ja we thank everyone for this.
"We worked on that after the game on Wednesday and we planned against Chiefs, we told ourselves that we know what we want from this game and we know what their strength is and we just close their strength and counter on their weaknesses," he said.
