After confirming an injury to Kermit Erasmus, Cape Town City now have another one of their key players ruled out of action.
The Citizens revealed yesterday that Erasmus suffered a suspected tear in his hamstring and will be out for up to two months.
Now, the Mother City-based club has another injury concern on their hands, with Peter Leeuwenburgh set to miss their upcoming Nedbank Cup clash against Mbombela United on the weekend.
After initial tests, we can confirm that Peter Leeuwenburgh has suffered a mild concussion in our last match.
"Peter will be targeting his return in our fixture against Polokwane City in 12 days time. The goalkeeper suffered a mild concussion after a collision with Gabriel Nyoni from Maritzburg United," City said on their official Twitter account.
However, the 25-year-old is expected to make his return to the field, when City resumes Absa Premiership action against Polokwane City on February 16.
