Mamelodi Sundowns, typically prolific in the transfer market, have been uncharacteristically quiet in this window, with only Fawaaz Basadien from Stellenbosch FC officially joining their ranks thus far.
However, Siya sources close to the situation indicate the South African champions are now setting their sights on international talent to strengthen their squad.
Insiders close to both the club and player have stated that the Brazilians are actively pursuing a Mali international midfielder currently plying his trade in the Middle East.

The sources added that Sundowns have expressed concrete interest in 27-year-old defensive midfielder Hama Sangare, who currently represents Al-Kifl SC in the Iraqi Premier League.
"It's believed that it's the scouts and recruiters who have been following his progress and made recommendations to the technical team regarding Hama Sangare. He is a defensive midfielder and believed to be good for the type of football that Sundowns play. So that's the Malian midfielder they are eyeing so far," the source told Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile, a second insider stated that the league's defending champions have a broader recruitment strategy in place as the transfer window progresses.

"At the moment, there are about two defenders on the radar that the team is looking at signing, and now they are enquiring about a Malian defensive midfielder as well. But they are working on signing at least two or three players in this window period," the second insider told the Siya crew.
Despite their reputation for aggressive transfer activity in previous seasons, Sundowns have adopted a more measured approach this window, contrasting sharply with the substantial recruitment drives undertaken by both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, who have each completed multiple signings.
