The story
Strength and conditioning trainer, Vusi "Mavreka" Hlabangwana, recently waxed lyrical about Sekhukhune United skipper, Linda Mntambo.
The 36-year-old midfielder earned praise for his elite physical conditioning following a strong 2024/25 campaign with Sekhukhune United in the Betway Premiership.
Highlighting Mntambo's dedication, Hlabangwana credited the midfielder for coming back from a career-threatening ankle injury last year to lead Babina Noko to a fourth-place finish in the league, where he made eight goal contributions in 22 appearances.
The recognition underscores Mntambo's consistent performances, endurance and reliability for Sekhukhune in the middle of the park and closer to goal as a second striker.
"What a comeback season, and surely hard work is also a talent. Kukhulu okuzayo (there's big things ahead) God will bless the work of our hands," wrote Hlabangwana, also known as "Blckvreka" on Instagram.
