The story
Shortly after being included in Bafana Bafana's squad for the upcoming COSAFA Cup in Bloemfontein, midfielder Thabo Cele went viral for a fun side quest over the weekend.
Cele lent his on-pitch expertise as part of the SuperSport TV Maximo punditry team for the UEFA Champions League Final on Saturday, which ended in a mammoth 5-0 win for PSG over Inter Milan in Munich.
The Amakhosi midfielder was lauded for how fluently he spoke Portuguese in analysing the Champions League final.
Cele broke into professional football playing in Portugal, having plied his trade for teams like Real Sport Clube (Real S.C.), Benfica B and Cova Piedade before heading to Poland.
In a "Get To Know" interview with Amakhosi a couple of months ago, the 28-year-old confirmed that he's fluent in isiZulu, English, Portuguese and can understand Spanish, Polish and Russian.
