The story
With the 2024/25 season fast approaching, some players are using their last few weeks of freedom before returning to a grueling 9-10 month schedule of football.
Tshepang Moremi, who has been touted for a move to one of the PSL's big three clubs for the new campaign, took to Instagram on Monday to share a snap of his snazzy ride.
Like many other PSL footballers, Moremi is a fan of Volkswagen's most popular rides and was pictured alongside a white VW Golf 7 GTi.
It's not clear which year this GTi is from — but it does resemble the 2009 model that's priced at nearly R480 000 on cars.co.za.
Moremi enjoyed a solid 2023/24 season for Usuthu, managing 29 appearances and contributing two goals, drawing the attention of Hugo Broos who has picked him on a couple of preliminary squads for Bafana Bafana.
After a decent display in the COSAFA Cup for South Africa, Moremi will hope his performances are enough to earn him a big move to either one of the Soweto Giants or defending league champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
If the baller does move back to Gauteng, he might ride off onto the N2 in a stunner of a GTi.
