Chiefs and Downs embark on their CAF Champions League campaigns next month, against Chicken Inn and Volcan de Moroni respectively.
The Buccaneers have been the only local team flying the South African flag high in continental competitions of late and Myeni has offered the other two big guns in Mzansi some advice ahead of their respective ventures.
"There are places where you fly for over 20 hours and then you have to drive for over two hours to reach where you are going," Myeni told Soccer Laduma.
"If you are not mentally strong, that can disturb you. Mental strength is the most important thing. Then teamwork and togetherness.
"That's what sees you through in Africa. We work very close together, from the technical team to the physical trainers to the players and everyone in the team."
