Having been eliminated by the Democratic Republic of the Congo giants, TP Mazembe, during last year's continental competition, the Chloorkop outfit is aiming for an improved run in this year's Champions League campaign.

The Brazilians will begin this year's Champions League campaign with an away game against Chicken Inn of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo on Saturday.

Prior to the weekend's CAF game, Pitso Mosimane and the team will get an opportunity to open the gap at the summit of the Absa Premiership log with a game against Orlando Pirates on Wednesday.

"Yes we are ready for the CAF Champions League. We are professional footballers and it is our job to stay ready for all kinds of competition."

"We have a tough match on Wednesday against Pirates and we have to do best. The league has been kind to us as we have been bagging great results. I hope that we can continue that.

"As for the CAF, we have to keep playing the way we do and capitalize on the chances that we get. It is always best to win at home and then finish what you started away. That will be the main strategy when playing the CAF," Modise stated on his official website.
