Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola revealed that Germany were deserved World Cup winners after Mario Gotze's extra-time goal earned them a 1-0 win over Argentina.
The Germans produced a string of eye catching performances on their way to the title and the former Barcelona coach believes they were the best team at the tournament.
"This is amazing for Germany. I'd like to congratulate all my players and head coach Joachim Low," Guardiola said in a message on the official Bayern website.
"Enjoy this unbelievable World Cup win. Germany fully deserve it."
Bayern's sporting director Matthias Sammer, meanwhile, praised the national team as the nation celebrates their World Cup triumph.
"What an amazing win. I am delighted for the German national team, for Jogi Low and for Bayern's seven world champions," Sammer said.
"This is a great achievement. Our team deserved this and all of Germany is delighted with it," the sporting director concluded.
