Gareth Bale Records Fastest Sprint Speed In The World

Real Madrid's Welsh winger, Gareth Bale, has been recorded as the fastest player on Earth, according to studies backed by FIFA. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi were slower and didn't even feature in the top three.

The other players to make the top three were Mexican forward, Jürgen Damm and Manchester United's Antonio Valencia.

Bale was recorded to run at 36.9km/h, while Ronaldo only hit 33.6km/h and Messi was recorded to run at 32.5km/h. Other prominent names to feature in the top ten of the study were Franck Ribery, Wayne Rooney and Theo Walcott.

1. Gareth Bale: 36.9 km/h

2. Jürgen Damm: 35.23 km/h

3. Antonio Valencia: 35.1 km/h

4. Aaron Lennon: 33.8 km/h

5. Cristiano Ronaldo: 33.6 km/h

6. Theo Walcott: 32.7 km/h.

7. Lionel Messi: 32.5 km/h.

8. Wayne Rooney: 31.2 km/h.

9. Frank Ribéry: 30.7 km/h.

10. Sergio Ramos: 30.6 km/h.
