An African prodigy is now linked with a move to one of the Premier League's biggest teams, with other top European clubs said to also be interested.

Attacking midfielder Abdul Aziz Issah currently plies his trade at Ghanaian Premier League side Dreams FC, but according to GHANAsoccernet.com, the 18-year-old has attracted the interest of Newcastle United.

The Magpies are said to see the potential signing of the Ghanaian as an opportunity to add strength and depth to their squad.

They will, however, face competition for his signature as fellow EPL side Nottingham Forest and Portuguese giants Sporting CP are also have their eyes on the player.

It has been suggested that the Portuguese side have earmarked the star as a replacement for Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, who is reportedly set to join Leicester City on a permanent basis when the current campaign comes to a close.

Closer to home, Egyptian giants Zamalek and Al Ahly are also claimed to be persistent in their desire to sign the starlet.

The interest in Issah comes amid an impressive season he has been having both on the domestic and continental front.

He has netted six times and assisted once in 16 league encounters for Dreams this term.

The teenager has also made 12 appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup, bagging four goals and two assists to help his side reach the semi-finals of the competition, where they were knocked out by Zamalek.

Dreams currently occupy 16th position on the Ghana Premier League table with 31 points. They trail leaders Samartex by 21 points, and second-placed Nations by 14, but do have four games in hand as they attempt to claw their way back up the log.
