Messi-Suarez Inter Miami Reunion 'Confirmed'

The prolific strike partnership of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez is reportedly on the verge of being reunited at Inter Miami.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Suarez's move to the Herons is all but complete, with the 36-year-old said to have put pen to paper on a one-year deal.

The transfer expert claims that the iconic forward reached a verbal agreement with the American side last month, and that an official announcement regarding his arrival is expected soon.

Upon arriving in Miami, the Salto native will be reunited with his long-time friend and legendary strike partner Messi.

The Argentine joined the David Beckham-co-owned side after his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expired, and while play-off qualification seemed in reach for his new side after he arrived, the team's form tailed off once he was injured.

Now, the record Ballon d'Or winner will be able to share the goalscoring burden with another proven forward at the elite level in Suarez.

The pair not only have a well-documented good personal relationship, but also have a brilliant relationship on the pitch as they have a joint goal participation of 99 strikes, the most of any of Messi's former teammates, according to Transfermarkt.

The former Liverpool and Barcelona star has shown that he is still capable of playing at a high level following his latest stint at Gremio too. Suarez scored 26 goals and provided 17 assists in the 56 matches he played for the Brazilian outfit.

Once his transfer to the MLS club is complete, he will become the latest former Blaugrana to join Inter Miami after Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba followed Messi to the DRV PNK Stadium earlier this year.
