A bombshell report has suggested that FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is "looking at flats and houses in Paris" ahead of a potential switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
Wth his contract in Spain expiring in June this year, the 33-year-old remains linked with a move away from the Blaugrana ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
Messi is yet to commit to a new deal with the Spanish giants and is reportedly only willing to decide on his future at the end of the season, with the player most strongly linked with moves to PSG and Manchester City.
According to OK Diario, however, the six-time Ballon d'Or winner has started looking at real estate in the French capital in the meantime. That is according to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda.
"Messi is probing the real estate market, and it is not exactly that of Barcelona," he said.
"He is probing, looking at flats and houses in Paris.
"The PSG players live in three different areas of Paris. Two of them are in exclusive areas within the city and the other option is for him to go to live where Neymar resides from the beginning, which is 15 kilometers from Paris."
Despite the Argentine's early-season struggles, he has scored 24 goals and assisted a further nine strikes in 33 matches across all competitions for the Blaugrana since the campaign got under way.
The Barcelona skipper is also the leading scorer in Europe's top five divisions in 2021, having struck 14 times since the turn of the year.
