The uncertainty surrounding the Englishman's future at the Theatre of Dreams seems to be coming to an end.
With his current deal expiring at the end of the looming campaign, the Red Devils have been looking to tie their top goalscorer from last season down to a new contract, and according to The Athletic, they have managed to achieve that, at least in principle.
As per the abovementioned publication, the Manchester native has agreed a new five-year deal with the record Premier League winners as he and his representatives near the final stages of negotiations with the club.
As a consequence of his 30-goal 2022/23 campaign, the attacker has garnered some lucrative offers from clubs all over Europe and in England, but the same report claims that the England international wants to lengthen his stay with the Mancunians instead, and help his boyhood club win more major honours.

Just under a month until the new English top-flight season gets underway and manager Erik ten Hag seems to be getting his house in order slowly but surely.
