With Antoine Griezmann appearing to suffer an immense fall from grace since his 2019 switch to Barcelona, here is the latest on the French forward's future.
The France international made a stunning move to the Catalan giants from Atletico Madrid three years ago, a transfer many expected would take Griezmann's career to new heights at club level.
However, after scoring just 33 goals in 101 appearances in his two seasons in Barca's first team, he returned to Los Rojiblancos on a two-year loan deal in 2021, with a permanent switch back to Diego Simeone's side set to cost €40 million (R670 million).
According to a recent report by Sport, though, Atletico are looking into ways to negotiate that fee down following Griezmann's underwhelming 2021/22 campaign, in which he scored just three goals in LaLiga.
The Madrid-based giants are considering offering players to Barcelona as a potential solution, but, for now, it seems unclear as to who they could be willing to give up.
During his first spell at Atletico, Griezmann scored 20 goals or more in five consecutive seasons, but has seen his club form take a drastic knock since his decision to join Barcelona in what was a controversial transfer.
A year before signing for the Blaugrana, the Frenchman released a documentary in which he revealed his decision to reject the chance to join forces with the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
His decision to later go back on his call to sign for Barcelona saw his reputation among Atletico supporters deteriorate, with his recent club form doing little to improve the situation.
