New Barcelona signing Robert Lewandowski has revealed what Xavi Hernandez told him in a conversation long before his move to the Catalan giants was confirmed.

On the weekend, it was announced the Blaugrana had struck a deal with Bayern Munich to sign the 33-year-old Poland international, who scored 344 goals in 375 matches for the Bundesliga side.
Earlier in the off-season, reports had suggested Lewandowski met with Xavi in Spain to discuss a potential transfer to Barca, an encounter the club's new arrival describes as a "coincidence".
Lewandowski has revealed that the former midfielder insisted he would be patient as the LaLiga giants pushed for his signature, and that they would be able to be successful together.
"It was actually by coincidence, but we had good chemistry straight away, he told me: 'I'll wait for you,'" he told German publication Bild.
"He told me we will work well together and we can achieve a lot.
"He has a clear plan on how to bring Barcelona back to the top."
