Reports suggest that Barcelona have all but secured their third major signing of the transfer window after reportedly agreeing a fee for a highly touted Brazilian winger.
According to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs, Barca have won the race to sign Raphinha after the Catalan giants agreed terms with Premier League side Leeds United.
The report suggests that the five-time European champions have struck a deal with the Yorkshire side for a reported fee of €75 million (R1.2 billion).
Chelsea were also in hot pursuit of the 25-year-old, having also agreed a fee with his current club, but it seems the Porto Alegre native has his heart set on joining the LaLiga side.
The player is represented by Deco, who himself is a former Blaugrana player and has seemingly found a way to facilitate a deal. Barca's dire financial situation means they will likely only be able to pay the fee in instalments, though.
Personal terms between the Spanish club and the winger are understood to have been agreed months back, and with the clubs having now agreed on payment for the player, it seems Raphinha's arrival at the Camp Nou is imminent.
Should the deal be successfully executed, he will be the LaLiga giants' third incoming of the window following the signings of Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen.
The Brazil international was integral to Leeds staying up last season with his 11 goals and three assists, and while relegation would have driven his price down, it looks as though Xavi and company have opted to fork out the money regardless to secure his services.
